According to the requirements of American parents, Hope Education Foundation (HEF) succeeded in arranging Columbia University Sophomore student, Mr. Andrei Mark' s learning Chinese in Beijing, China for 82 days during summer vacation of 2004. Mr. Andrei Marks is an American child, when he came to China, he just understood a little Chinese, but through Chinese learning and communicating with Chinese people for 82 days, and after returning to America, he succeeded in taking the entry test of Columbia University' s Chinese intermediate class. Therefore, he can order the bill in Chinese restaurant according to Chinese menu along, and he can go by bus to anywhere he wants to go according to the map in Beijing by himself.

  Mr. Andrei Marks had 277 Chinese study hours, which included 112 hours in Beijing Jun Cheng Language School, 159 hours for one by one tutor who arranged by HEF and period small tests for 6 hours, and at the weekends take a tour or take part in Chinese Community' s activities.
