Since
1999, over thousands of American students and educators
have visited to China as a part of a program sponsored
by HEF - "Friendship Delegation Summer Camp".
The camp's cultural activities have helped American students
become more acquainted with Chinese culture. As a result
of their interactions, American and Chinese students not
only have gained better appreciation of each other's cultures,
but also have established friendships, which may last
forever.
Additionally,
HEF has sponsored and arranged the professional exchange
program between American veterinary surgeons and Chinese
Agricultural University, resulting in a donation of veterinary
equipment to the university.
In July, 2000, in Beijing, Xian
and Shanghai, HEF arranged an extensive Chinese language
training program for the educators from the U.S.-based
Chinese Language Association of Secondary-Elementary Schools
(CLASS). Also they had been organized to visit China and
had cultural exchange between America and China. Also,
Cate School Faculties recently finished an educational
tour of China.
Another interesting event organized
by HEF was for the Choate Rosemary Hall Chamber Orchestra
and No. 101 High School, perform on the Great Wall and
in the Zhongshan Music Hall under Beijing's cooperation.
Also they and Shanghai high school students had performance
on Walkway of Nanjing Street.
HEF arranged a meeting between officers of the American
National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS),
Chinese government organizations, and the American Consulate
in China to discuss the possibility of Chinese high
school students' enrollment at NAIS schools in the United
States. In
the year 2001, Hope Education Foundation has, so far,

HEF and CLASS jointly succeeded in having a first-time
forum on How to further improve Chinese Learning in America
with in America with officers of the Cultural/Education
Section and the high/elementary school teachers of Chinese
learning at the Chinese Embassy in Washington DC. The
forum extremely encouraged all high/elementary teachers
of Chinese learning nationwide. In
the year of 2002, beside of assisting nationwide public
and private highschool students and teachers to realize
their dream of China tour, for the first time, HEF successfully
assisted CLASS to arrange 26 high and elementary school
teachers of Chinese instruction for a 30-day Chinese language
training program fully financed by Fulbright, Freedman

Shanghai, and Yunnan Province in China.

organization named Chinese Music & Cultural Exchange,
Inc. from Arizona, HEF successfully sponsored a tour show
for an orchestra with 108 young musicians and teachers
from Beijing
Fengtai Highschool. They visited and joined non-profit

between the Sino-American people.
Moreover, requested by Los Angeles-Guangzhou
Friendship Association, HEF also succeeded in organizing
another study tour for 36 students and teachers from Guangzhou
Yucai Highschool to America. They attended all kinds of
educational exchanges at Los Angeles, San Francisco, New
York, Washington and other places as well.
Over 100 American junior and senior
high school students were invited to join to HEF Chinese
learning programs at Beijing Huiwen Foreign Languages
Highschool. Those young students made a deep friendship
with Chinese students in Beijing, and learned more and
started to like China .
In 2003, the long-lasting effects
of SARS continued to disallow groups from the United States
to interact with China. Only one group from the Boston
area, the Middle Sex School, which consists of 22 teachers
and students, was able to exchange ideas of education
with China. Along with the aid of Hope Education Foundation,
the efforts of Middle Sex School proved to be very successful.
In 2004, except for the normal
development of American students to China for 29 days
to learn Chinese project, HEF was still able to undertake
and coordinate trips to China for American Naval Academy,
West Point Academy, and Fulbride American Chinese Teacher
