ⅠWhat is the characteristic of Special Chinese Study Program?

1) The length of study period is optional.
General study program requires students to study during one inflexible period, but under the special project, you can study for at least four weeks, and even can prolong to five, six and eight weeks, you can study for a longer time according to your Chinese level and your requirements, so it’s a special project for the students who really want to improve their Chinese level.

2) Flexible register time
Class begins from the Second Wednesday of June each year, and enrolls the freshmen once two weeks until August, and students will be divided into different-level classes according to the test results.

3) Strong pertinence of the Curriculum design
The foreign citizens of Chinese origin usually can understand Chinese by listening, but can’t speak out in Chinese, what’s more, reading & writing are even worse. For this, the teaching of the Medium-advanced-level classes aims to improve students’ reading comprehension, not only can read some paragraphs of articles under the help of dictionary, but also understand the deep meanings; meanwhile, to practice the typing ability on computer in Chinese for making up the shortage of writing.

The teaching of the Elementary-level classes aims to make students build up strong self-confidence and improve interest on Chinese study, and by the way remember more vocabulary and daily expression, so they can listen, speak and write more under better language environment.

4) Emphasis on teaching quality.
All the students will be divided into at least three different kinds of classes: Elementary-level,
Medium-level and advanced level, at the most three classes for each level, and each class has
less than 12 students. And in order to gain different Chinese study goals in anticipate, we can
offer Chinese teaching one by one for individual.

5) Chinese Language partner
Benefit sufficiently Beijing language environment the advantage, each two foreign students can
be companied by one Chinese student three times each week in order to enhance students’
language practice and much more understanding to the daily life of Beijing citizens.

6) The accommodation is optional.
Students can share Students Dormitory of International Culture Exchange Mansion in Beijing Capital Normal University during Chinese study period, which was invested by the government and completed in September of 2004, and there are single room, double room and four bed room with bathroom, telephone, air-conditioner and internet, and there are washhouse and kitchen each floor, so the accommodation condition and the establishments are the best all of China. Except the dormitory inside, students can live in your relatives’ families or the dormitory outside which we offer.

7) The meals are optional.
There are many kinds of dining room with abundant variety and low price, you can consume by paying cash or using card.

8) Extracurricular activities are abundant.
There are swimming pools, gymnasium and many kinds of free playgrounds. And you can
travel in Beijing and around Beijing at weekends, such as the massive Great Wall, the Ming
Tombs, the Forbidden City, the Temple of Heaven, the Summer Palace and Beijing Zoo etc.

9) The tuition charge standard is very flexible, you can choose anyone from all these charge projects except the ones with sign※, this is the special and creative point of all the same program.

Ⅱ When did HEF hold the special Chinese study program?
HEF has been holding the program for five years, there were thousands of students to China to study Chinese during last five years.

Ⅲ Is there any age requirement?
All of the persons above 12 years old can enroll the program. And if your age is from 7 to 11, you can join in other Chinese study programs of HEF.

Ⅳ Safety precautions
1、HEF has built up a kind of complete and effective safety criterion during the five years.
2、According to each student’s behaviors, if necessary, we will paste seals on the door after 11:00PM.
3、We arrange one counselor of adult for each 20 students.

Ⅴ Visa
HEF can help you to deal with the visa to China. You should prepare original passport with 6 month effective from your return date and two pieces of 2 inches photos without hats (black and white one or color both ok, remember to write your name on the back of the photos), then fill in the visa application form from our web, it is $50/pp and $20/pp for post fee.
