On April 19, Blizzard Entertainment announced plans to continue World
of Warcraft Classic-era content and continue with Wrath of the Lich
King once Burning crusade Classic comes to an end.
With the full launch of TBC Classic content, the developer recently
announced the availability of the upcoming hero profession, Death
Knight. The new profession is available to all races of level 55 and
above. Making the new material available ahead of the release is the
first step in preparing players for the challenges they will face in
Northrend.
Since players start at level 55 and only one DK can be created per
server, Blizzard is trying to give players a little time to get their
characters to level 70 before WoLK Classic begins. You can get

When will Wrath of the Lich King Classic be released?
WoW Wrath of the Lich King Classic will be released on September 26th
at 5pm EST. This version will be released simultaneously in all
regions of the world. At this point, players can begin their journey
through Northrend and take on all the quests, dungeons, and first
raids it has to offer.
For some players, this Blizzard announcement is nothing new. On July
21st, an image was accidentally uploaded to the official WotLK Classic
website stating that the expansion would go live on September 26th,
2022. It was removed a few hours later. While this isn't a
confirmation of the release date, it does give players a good idea of
when the game will be out.
TBC was originally released in January 2007 and WotLK in November
2008, almost two years later. For comparison, TBC Classic was released
in June 2021. This means that no matter when WotLK Classic releases
this year, it will be faster than when it was originally released.
This short span of time for Classic-era content isn't particularly
surprising. As Blizzard has noted since work began on the old servers,
modern players progress through the game's content at a much faster
pace than when it was released, thanks to the amount of information at
their disposal today.
