2008 US Educators Trip to China, Beijing, Xi'an, Suzhou, Shanghai

On this trip, the educators will tour the cities of Beijing, Shanghai, Suzhou, and Xi'an for 9 days, from April 19-27 2008. The group will also observe a preschool native language instruction, visit schools that offer Chinese as a foreign language; learn about an internet language teaching project currently being conducted between China and America; discuss possible collaborations between the US Schools and China's Hanban programs; and meet with representatives from the Chinese Ministry of Education. All expenses in China for this trip will be covered by the Hanban.

The Chinese Language Association of Secondary-Elementary Schools(CLASS) and the Hope Education Foundation(HEF) will review applications and send recommendations to NOCFL for formal invitations.

4	Tue 4/22/08	Coach	Beijing B, L, D In the morning, You will visit the largest City Center square in the world - Tiananmen Square and Forbidden City which was the seat of Imperial power for 500 years, and then take the coach to visit the Great Wall which is the most famous and best-preserved Wall in the afternoon.

6	Thu 4/24/08	Coach	Xi抋n B, L, D In the morning, you will visit one of the world miracle - Terra-Cotta Warriors of Qin Shi Emperor. In the afternoon, visit the ancient Xi'an's symbol - the Big Goose Pagoda and the best preserved Ancient City Wall, in the evening enjoy the Tang Dynasty Show.
7	Fri 4/25/08	Flight Coach	Xian-Shanghai B ,L, D In the morning, you will fly to Shanghai. After arrival, visit the botanical garden in Ming Dynasty - Yu Garden, one of most famous business streets in the world - Nanjing Road, the Bund Area in Shanghai's Huangpu river district, she is the landscape of Shanghai, and the Chenghuang Temple, it is not only the tour scenic spot, but the good destination for shopping, enjoy the Splendid Acrobatic show in the evening. 8	Sat 4/26/08	Coach	Shanghai-Suzhou-Shanghai B, L, D In the morning, you抣l take the coach to Suzhou; after arrival, you will visit the representative work of classical garden in Suzhou - . the Web-master Garden, and the Silk Factories, then take the coach back to Shanghai.
